'Caption Is Crazy': DiJonai Carrington Reacts To Bruce Brown Comparison On Her Cowgirl Look

DiJonai Carrington, shooting guard for the Dallas Wings, has delighted fans ever since this WNBA season started with her various cowboy-inspired outfits. Recently, the ‘LeagueFits’ Instagram page shared a post drawing parallels between Carrington’s style choices and that of former NBA guard Bruce Brown. Brown is known for his love for the western and is often seen wearing a whole cowboy ensemble, right from the boots to the hat.

Carrington is playing her very first season with the Wings after signing with the team during the WNBA offseason. Carrington came to the team as a package deal, bringing her longtime partner NaLyssa Smith to the Wings as well.

“Would it be crazy to say DiJonai Carrington is the WNBA’s Bruce Brown?” LeagueFits wrote in their Instagram post, sharing three pictures of Carrington in cowboy-inspired outfits side by side.

“Caption is crazy tho. LOL,” DiJonai Carrington captioned the post after re-sharing it on her Instagram.

DiJonai Carrington may have taken some inspiration from the Western sense of style after signing with the Dallas Wings, but it is definitely not the same for Bruce Brown. Despite growing up in Boston, Brown’s fashion choices led people to quiz him about the same.

Apparently, Brown fell in love with the cowboy world after visiting Nashville back in 2019. At once, the whole yeehaw culture seemed very affable to him. Brown not only has changed his entire wardrobe to a western theme, but also has bought a home in Nashville and has taken an interest in riding horses and raising cattle.

DiJonai Carrington’s Fouls On Court Anger Fans

DiJonai Carrington has been on fire ever since she joined the Dallas Wings. In fact, her performance seems pretty desperate to score when compared to her previous season in the WNBA. While this may seem commendable when it comes to sports, it looks like Carrington has taken it up a notch and started playing dirty.

Carrington already has three fouls on her name, leading the WNBA in this category. Her latest one was definitely not appreciated by even Wings fans. Last week, the shooting guard seemed to grab an opponent’s hair in a game against the Los Angeles Sparks. The action even seemed to catch the commentator off-guard who remarked that if the player indeed had extensions, they would have definitely come off after Carrington grabbed them.

Despite being labeled a ‘dirty’ player, DiJonai Carrington seems pretty undeterred by the whole thing. In fact, Carrington also received plenty of support from even many other WNBA players, who defended her style of play.
