The Chicago Sky currently have the WNBA's third-worst record at 3-8. They will have a chance to make a statement on Saturday when they host the Phoenix Mercury, who have the third-best record in the league at 10-4.
Angel Reese, who is in her second season out of LSU and was an All-Star last year, is gradually making strides this year, as is Kamilla Cardoso, a second-year center who spent three years with the South Carolina Gamecocks.
The good news for Chicago is that it may get a key rotation player back for Saturday's contest. Guard Moriah Jefferson, who has yet to appear in a game this season due to a leg injury, is listed as questionable.

Moriah Jefferson (leg) is QUESTIONABLE
Chicago acquired Jefferson midway through last season in a trade with the Connecticut Sun for Marina Mabrey. It also obtained guard Rachel Banham, a 2025 first-round draft pick and a 2026 first-round pick swap in the same deal.
Jefferson was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 draft by the San Antonio Stars (now the Las Vegas Aces) after four years at UConn. While she has been injury-prone, she has spent eight seasons in the league (she missed all of 2019 because of a knee injury) and has career averages of 8.5 points and 3.3 assists in 21.8 minutes a game.
At UConn, she won four straight women's NCAA championships, as well as two Nancy Lieberman Awards, and she was named the WBCA Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 as a senior. She ended her college career as the Huskies' all-time leader in career assists with 659.
