Chicago Sky Have Two Words About Angel Reese's Tough Finish Against LA Sparks

The Chicago Sky faced the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday afternoon at Crypto.com Arena, looking to avoid another loss after a 4-11 start. It was the second game of a four-game road trip, and Angel Reese delivered once again.

Reese came in with three straight double-doubles, and, unsurprisingly, had another one locked up by the third quarter. She entered the fourth quarter with 13 points, 12 rebounds and four assists.

But what also stood out was one of her tough finishes during the game. Reese’s teammate Ariel Atkins hit her with an outlet pass on a fast break, and as Reese went up for the layup, she was fouled by Sparks forward Azura Stevens.

The 23-year-old made the basket through contact, and as she came down to the hardwood, she found the camera and let out a loud scream.

Shortly after, the Sky shared the video on social media with a two-word caption.

"AND ONE," they said after Reese drained the free throw to take a 48-36 lead.

Reese is in her second WNBA season after being drafted No. 7 overall by Chicago in 2024. Last year, she led the WNBA in rebounding per game with 13.1, was named a WNBA All-Star and was named to the WNBA All-Rookie team.

Reese began her college career playing for the Maryland Terrapins before transferring to the LSU Tigers, where she helped lead them to a national title in 2023. In that same season, Reese was also named a unanimous First-team All-American.
