Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has established herself as one of the brightest young talents in women's basketball today. In her first two years in the WNBA, she averaged 14.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Reese is now a two-time All-Star and has proven herself to be a consistent double-double threat. It's worth noting that during her rookie season, she set a new WNBA record for the longest double-double streak with 15 games.

That said, it's no surprise to see Reese selected as a member of Team USA for the upcoming FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament.

Reese joined Team USA's training camp over the weekend in preparation for the competition. The squad is set to leave soon, as the tournament is scheduled to take place from March 11 to 17 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Before the tournament kicks off, however, Team USA revealed the official uniforms for the players and their jersey numbers.

Reese, who wears No. 5 for the Sky, will wear No. 9 with Team USA. Unfortunately for her, No. 5 isn't available since that's Kelsey Plum's number. Furthermore, Team USA players are limited to just No. 4 to 15 when picking their jersey numbers due to the rules.

"USABWNT No. 9 @angel.reese," USA Basketball posted on Instagram, showing photos of Reese in her national team uniform.

While she's wearing a different number this time around, the Sky certainly couldn't be prouder of their player. They commented on Team USA's post to show their support for the star forward.

"overly tea," the Sky wrote.

For what it's worth, several other fans liked Reese's number choice, with one fan saying, "AR 9 has a nice ring to it!"

"USA AR9!! The tradition continues!!!!" a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Famous #9’s: Michael Jordan, Lisa Leslie, LeBron James, Cheryl Miller. This is not a drill now our Angel what an honor!!"

"Let's get it 9," a supporter added.

A fifth follower stated, "AR9!!! Just YES!!!"
