On Tuesday, the clash between the Atlanta Dream and the Indiana Fever ended dramatically. The contest showcased the clash of WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Caitlin Clark for the first time in the 2025 season. In the end, Griner and the Dream came out victorious with the final score of 91-90.
Both players stepped up for their respective teams. At one point, the Dream led 89-80 with 4:09 left in the fourth quarter. However, Atlanta did not give up and outlasted the Clark-led team. They secured their first win of the new campaign.
One of the biggest stories of the game was how Griner performed. She led the team with 21 points and eight rebounds on 61.5% shooting from the field. Unfortunately for the Dream, the veteran star fouled out with 21 seconds left.
Clark, meanwhile, had 27 points, five rebounds and 11 assists for the Fever.
Griner's performance was recognized by fans and even content creators. Former host of 2K TV, Rachel DeMita, gave her a shoutout on X.
"BG cooked tf outta the Fever tonight!" DeMita said.

DeMita is no stranger in the world of basketball. She's been with Andre Roberson, a former player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, since 2018. Also, the two have been engaged since May 2025, the content creator confirmed when she posted on her Instagram.
She constantly posts her takes about basketball on her social media accounts.
Griner also made history during the game when she entered the top 20 in the all-time rebounding leaders of the league. The nine-time All-Star passed Tangela Smith and etched her name in the history books with 2,335 rebounds after she secured her sixth board.
For the WNBA, the next game between the Dream and Fever will be on Thursday at State Farm Arena. Following Tuesday's contest, both teams are tied with a 1-1 record this year.
