The Chicago Sky dropped a 93 to 80 contest against the 10-4 Atlanta Dream on Sunday. This gave new Sky head coach Tyler Marsh and his team a 3-10 record during the 2025 WNBA season.
2024 WNBA All-Star forward Angel Reese scored 10 points and added a season-high 19 rebounds in the loss. Veteran shooting guard Ariel Atkins paced the Sky offense with a season-best 29 points.
Backcourt tandem Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray led the charge for Atlanta, scoring 22 and 19 points, respectively. The Dream also got a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double from veteran forward Brionna Jones in the win.
Perhaps the most unexpected performance on Sunday came from rookie Dream guard Te-Hina Paopao, who was the No. 18 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
She made a career-high five three pointers against the Sky in the win and tied her career-best scoring output with 16 points. She also added three assists and two rebounds.
South Carolina head women's basketball coach Dawn Staley, who coached Paopao for two collegiate seasons, sent a message to the young Atlanta star after her strong performance against Chicago.
"Pao Pao! @tehinapaopaoo with the light work today!! ," Staley wrote.

As for Chicago, they will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the 4-10 Los Angeles Sparks at Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET.
