INDIANAPOLIS — Fans at WNBA All-Star weekend were left confused after not finding any Alyssa Thomas, a Phoenix Mercury All-Star, jerseys to purchase at the league’s store.
The discussion on social media began after Mercury fan Val Coleman posted a video of herself in the store, saying she couldn’t find the All-Star’s jersey to purchase. Fellow All-Star and Thomas’ Phoenix teammate, Satou Sabally, had hers displayed in the store.
“Not [Thomas] jersey,” Coleman said. “What’s a girl to do?
David Veenstra from Desert Wave Media spoke with two different employees at the store for Thomas’ jerseys, confirming the store hadn’t received any.
This left fans puzzled and frustrated, noting the continued “disrespect” the league has given to Thomas and the Mercury.

At what point is this not considered negligence? How is it that you don’t have Alyssa Thomas’ jersey for sell. Isn’t she a member of the @WNBA cohort? She’s a MVP candidate, a record holder and an Olympian. How is this possible? https://t.co/tIAqSQe9GR

Why are you using Alyssa Thomas for promo and views but not selling her jersey in the @WNBA store at All Star? #WNBAAllStar2025 #PhoenixMercury https://t.co/Z9dFfDlxw2

The WNBA hasn’t released a comment on why Thomas’ jersey was excluded from the store for purchase.
