Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White commented on Lexie Hull’s injury scare.
On Friday, the Fever returned to action after the league-wide break, visiting the Toronto Tempo at the Coca-Cola Coliseum.
It was the first of their four remaining regular-season games, and they secured a 103-85 win to keep their chances of finishing in the top four alive.
But as intense as the game was, Hull suffered an injury scare in the first half after she got hit in the face during a play. The medical staff on the bench immediately attended to the Fever starter, as she was even seen bleeding from her nose.
Fortunately, Hull returned in the second half and played 13 minutes in total. She finished with five points, one rebound and one assist.
In her postgame interview, coach White responded to a question about Hull’s injury status.
“I’m not sure,” White said at the 8:04 mark. “I haven’t talked to the medical team about where she is right now, but she seemed to be doing okay on the bench. But we’ll probably have more information for you tomorrow.”
It was Kelsey Mitchell who took center stage in Friday’s victory. The four-time All-Star broke the WNBA single-season scoring record with 1,034 points and counting.
Mitchell finished with a game-high 33 points, two rebounds and two assists. Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark produced a double-double of 28 points and 14 assists.
Indiana returns to action on Sunday, welcoming the Washington Mystics to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
