Sophie Cunningham drew attention ahead of the Indiana Fever’s matchup against the Golden State Valkyries on Thursday. Before the game started at Chase Center, the veteran guard posted a 10-second video on TikTok that quickly turned heads.

The clip initially showed Cunningham in a white bathrobe. After a quick outfit change, she appeared in a red “BBQ Baddie” crop top paired with denim shorts. Cunningham then danced and lip-synced to “Sexual Healing” by Josh Fawaz while the words “game day fit” appeared on screen.

“Need a tan and a bbq pork steak asap,” the 6-foot-1 guard captioned the post.

As expected, the pregame video generated plenty of reactions from Fever fans.

Cunningham arrived at the arena in that casual outfit, which perfectly matched the California setting. The 29-year-old Fever guard’s popularity goes beyond her on-court play. She is active on social media and engages with fans. Her game-day style has also made her one of the faces of the Fever’s growing popularity.

Sophie Cunningham, Fever suffer loss vs. Valkyries

Indiana came into Thursday’s game on a three-game winning streak. However, Golden State ended that run with a 90-88 victory. The Valkyries secured the win behind 25 points from guard Veronica Burton.

Fever guards Caitlin Clark and Raven Johnson tied for the team’s most points, each scoring 16. Cunningham also had 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting, including a late layup with under 30 seconds remaining to keep Indiana close. However, the comeback fell short.

Following the defeat, Indiana now holds a 4-3 record this season. The team will travel to Oregon to meet the Portland Fire again on Saturday. The Fever won their first meeting 90-73 in Indiana on May 20.
