The Minnesota Lynx are on the road on Tuesday night as they travel to take on the Phoenix Mercury in a Western Conference matchup.
Minnesota enters Tuesday’s game with a 0-1 record after losing at home on Saturday night in their season opener to the Atlanta Dream.
In Saturday’s loss to the Dream, Olivia Miles led the way for the Lynx as she recorded 21 points, three rebounds and eight assists while Kayla McBride added 20 points, two rebounds and two assists of her own.
Now Minnesota will try to bounce back on Tuesday as they face off against the Mercury in a tough road matchup.
On the other side, Phoenix enters Tuesday’s contest with a 1-1 record after losing on the road to the Golden State Valkyries on Saturday night.
Alyssa Thomas led the way for the Mercury in Saturday’s loss as she ended the game with 19 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists while Jovana Nogic scored 16 points.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Tuesday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
For the Lynx, they have two players listed on their injury report, including star forward Napheesa Collier.
Minnesota has ruled out Collier as she continues to recover from left ankle surgery that is expected to sideline her until early June.
