Kysre Gondrezick hasn't played in a WNBA game in over a year, and yet, she remains pretty popular in the world of sports.

Gondrezick, a former first-round pick from West Virginia, started her WNBA career with the Indiana Fever in 2021. She then joined the Chicago Sky in 2024, averaging just 3.2 minutes per game. The franchise cut ties with her in the middle of the season since she fell out of the rotation.

Shortly after being released, Gondrezick let fans know that she wasn't ready to retire.

"I’m just excited to see the outcome of what my journey is going to be with the W, because I don’t think that I’m done anytime soon," Gondrezick said. "I don’t want to say that that was an ending. I want to say it was more so a transition."

Fast forward to July 2025, and Gondrezick hasn't received a contract yet from a WNBA team. Judging by her latest Instagram post though, she's doing just fine.

On Saturday afternoon, Gondrezick shared a selfie of her sitting on her bed without any clothes on.

Fans noticed there were birthday balloons in the background of Gondrezick's photo. That makes sense considering her 28th birthday is this Sunday.

Here's the photo of Gondrezick that has grabbed plenty of people's attention:

Since being released by the Sky last summer, Gondrezick has attended New York Fashion Week, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Awards.

"I am all over the place right now," Gondrezick said. "I’m in acting classes, acting training. I’m getting ready to shoot some film work for 2025. It’s been a heck of a year. It is funny, someone said, ‘You have trended more since you’ve been cut and since you were in the league — and you were trending so much in the league.’ I’m just living in the beauty of my purpose."

Maybe, just maybe, Gondrezick will provide a career update on her birthday.
