With Caitlin Clark sidelined by a groin injury, the Indiana Fever have turned to Lexie Hull and Aliyah Boston to shoulder the load. But lately, another face has been carving out a spot in the spotlight — Chloe Bibby.
Bibby has averaged 3.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in just under 10 minutes a night, but her recent run has brought a jolt to a rotation hampered by injuries. Over her last seven outings, she’s made the most of her minutes, finding ways to contribute beyond the box score.
Her most extended run came Monday against the Chicago Sky, where she logged 21 minutes and hauled in three boards. After the game, Bibby posted on Instagram: “Grateful for this journey
.”
Hull responded with, “Grateful for you!!!!!” while Boston added, “Sniperrrrrr
.”
Bibby’s stint with Indiana began on a seven-day contract signed July 25. Two games later, the team brought her back for the rest of the season. Now shooting 33.3% from three-point range, she’s making $66,079 this year, per Spotrac.
Lexie Hull herself has faced her own challenges this season, enduring a rough shooting patch. But she’s had unwavering support — from Fever fans and from home.
One loyal fan wrote on X, “I want everybody to know that y’all gonna have to call the SWAT to get me off Lexie Hull’s bandwagon. I’m not leaving. She’s just going through a rough patch, it’s okay, I’m not worried. You’ll always have a fan in me Lex.”
Hull’s mother, Jamie, reposted the message, adding, “This post brought tears to my eyes. Nobody will ever understand how hard Lexie is on herself. As her mom I wish I could fix it. I can’t. This is something she has to do on her own. Thanks to every single one of you that support her! Supporters>Haters.”
That encouragement may have helped fuel Hull’s performance against the Sky, where she erupted for a season-high 17 points and hit four of six from deep — a timely spark for a Fever squad fighting to stay in the mix.
