'I Was Being Bad': Angel Reese Reveals Mom Cancelling Christmas Because Of Her Behavior

Angel Reese has also borne the brunt of discipline from her mother, Angel Webb, as she recently shared on social media. Apparently, Reese did not get Christmas presents a certain year as a result of her bad behavior. She let out this info as she commented on a particular tweet which discussed parents canceling Christmas when their kids were being naughty.

According to her comment, Webb cancelled her Christmas and also for her birthday when she ‘was being bad’. Webb, being an athlete in her prime day herself, knew well enough the value of discipline and clearly wanted her kids to imbibe it. In fact, Webb played college basketball for the University of Maryland and then went on to play for Luxembourg.

Angel Reese has also gone on to mention in a 2023 interview with ESPN as to how strong an influence her mom was on her personal and professional life. Apparently, Webb ‘never backed down to anything’ and that ‘she always stood her ground for everything’.

While Webb herself was a strong inspiration for Reese to take up basketball as a career, another reason for it was her brother Julian. Reese had quite a bit of a competitive streak with her brother and wanted to do better than him. This was another strong reason why Reese decided to play basketball professionally.

Angel Reese Discussed Her Views On AI Images Of Herself

In a recent episode of her podcast, Angel Reese discussed her opinions about AI images, particularly those spreading fake news about herself. Some time back, there were images going around about Reese getting banned from the WNBA, but these were clearly fake. However, it didn’t stop people from discussing it and re-sharing it on social media.

Another incident with AI which directly hurt Reese was when her own uncle sent her an obscene picture of herself, which was generated by AI. Reese went on to remark she and her team tried to take down everything, but which is quite impossible to do.

While AI has done plenty of good online, there have also been many cases of fake news particularly spread through AI-generated images, since there are no major regulations about them online. Still, with or without AI, Angel Reese’s impressive performances on the hardwood floor will continue for years to come.
