After leading the Indiana Fever to a thrilling 78-76 victory over the Washington Mystics on Monday, Caitlin Clark received more exciting news the following day.
Clark, who has established herself as the WNBA's biggest draw and one of the brightest young stars in the league, received the honor of being named to TIME's "100 Most Influential People in Sports 2026."
She joined the likes of A'ja Wilson and Nneka Ogwumike as the only active WNBA players on the list. News York Liberty co-owner Clara Wu Tsai, Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon and former WNBA star Dawn Staley also made the TIME 100 list.
"During her 2024 rookie season with the Indiana Fever, Clark—who won the league’s Rookie of the Year honors—appeared in the most-watched WNBA games ever on ABC, CBS, ESPN, and ESPN2, and Fever games were moved to NBA and NHL arenas in Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C., to accommodate larger crowds," Sean Gregory wrote about Clark's impact on the WNBA and women's sports.
As the basketball world celebrates Clark's achievement, the Fever made sure to congratulate her as well.
"CC continues to shine," the Fever wrote on Instagram. "Congrats to Caitlin Clark on being named to @time’s 100 most influential people in sports 2026 list."
For what it's worth, the WNBA also celebrated the achievement by commenting on the Fever's post, writing, "Yess CC."
Clark's influence remains at an all-time high, with Fever games often drawing massive attendance even outside Indiana. Viewership of Fever games has been remarkable as well, with their recent showdown against the New York Liberty drawing an average of 2.5 million viewers.
