Injured Caitlin Clark Steps Out in Style for Fever-Mercury Game

Caitlin Clark is going to miss her ninth straight game on Thursday as the Indiana Fever battle the Phoenix Mercury in a road game at PHX Arena. This will be Indiana’s fourth and final game in its current road trip, and this team is looking to get back in the winning column after Tuesday’s 100-91 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks.

Caitlin Clark Arrives in Style

Despite missing the past three weeks of action, Clark has continued to join her team for games, albeit cheering for them from the bench. The 23-year-old has been with the Fever throughout this four-game road stand, and the same was the case on Thursday in Phoenix.

The Fever took to social media ahead of the contest to share some photos of the players’ game-day outfits. Clark was one of the stars of the show with her sporty-meets-streetwear ensemble.

Clark came to the game in a white short-sleeve Nahmias T-shirt, which is a brand that she has been repping throughout the season. She paired her top with relaxed-fit, slightly faded dark-wash jeans. For her footwear, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year went with black-and-white Nike Dunk Low sneakers.

Clark Still Not Practicing

It is worth noting, though, that a concerning update regarding Clark’s injury emerged on Thursday. It was reported earlier in the week that the former Iowa superstar had been running full speed at practice, which is a crucial development.

Fever beat reporter Chloe Peterson of Indy Star reported on Thursday, however, that Clark still hasn’t been taking part in practice. She has been doing individual work amid her recovery but has not joined her teammates for their practice drills.

This does not bode well for Clark’s imminent return. The Fever are clearly taking a very cautious approach and are not rushing her back. The two-time All-Star has no timetable for her return, which suggest that she’s not close.
