Natalie Esquire is the latest to defend Chicago Sky star Angel Reese from former NBA player Jeff Teague and online personality Charleston White. White left basketball fans taken aback with his controversial remarks on Teague’s “Club 520 Podcast,” saying that the WNBA star should “do OnlyFans and dunk in some panties.”
Many high-profile figures have blasted White’s remarks and come out to defend Reese and the WNBA. Esquire, a well-known media reporter who has worked with top media outlets including NBC Sports, criticized Teague and White for their statements regarding the WNBA and women’s basketball as a whole.
“Jeff Teague is a whole clown for this. I hope no player in the W goes on his pod or works with him. League better not even entertain his ass,” said Esquire in an X post.

Natalie Esquire is not the only media personality to call out Jeff Teague’s podcast in defense of Angel Reese and the WNBA. NBA and WNBA writer Nekias Duncan found himself shocked at the comments White threw on the “Club 520 Podcast” and told the people behind the show to respect women’s basketball.
“I’m just seeing … the stuff. And dude. Just don’t talk about the W if you can’t even pretend to respect the people involved,” Duncan said.

Women’s sports expert Arielle Chambers also shared her take on the controversial comment on X.
“I wonder what possesses men to get on their respective podcasts and talk so derogatorily about women/women athletes. The audacity is so alarming. Like you good bruh?! Cuz what?!?!,” Chambers wrote.

Sportscaster Chris Williams saw Chambers’ post and responded with his own take. “Jealousy and [a] whole lot of insecurity!” he said.
Chistopher White’s comments on Jeff Teague’s podcast were actually somewhat in a similar vein as NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal’s comment on Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast earlier this year. Shaq guested on Reese’s podcast and the two talked about how the WNBA could grow and boost its ratings. The LA Lakers legend’s comment seemingly upset Reese and raised criticisms from many.
“Imagine you in those same little shorts you had on at the Wild ‘n Out show dunking. You know how many T-shirts you’re going to sell,” said O’Neal.

One of the rising stars in the WNBA, Angel Reese has helped elevate the women’s league to new heights. She will be looking to bring more eyes to another league when she debuts in the Unrivaled Basketball League next year.
