The Aces were victorious and are advancing to the WNBA Semifinals to take on their next opponent, the Michelob ULTRA Arena celebration may have gotten ahead of themselves before the final buzzer.
In the final seconds of game three of the opening round of the WNBA playoffs, the Seattle Storm were battling for the final possession to top the Las Vegas Aces but were not successful.
Before knowing or seeing if the shot went in, the Arena crew cued the smoke and the flipped the lights on the court.
It remains to be seen if the clock had ticked down to 0.0 before the celebration began.
Following the game, Aces center A’ja Wilson was asked about the situation. Wilson said, “For me, soon as I see that red square light up, its game. The lights going off, I don’t really know about none of that.”

User @OhNoHeDidnt24 said: “Aces hold on and the lights went out lmao”
@DayDreamThis said: “That’s unprofessional af by the Las Vegas Aces lighting crew. Don’t turn the lights out until it’s cleared out.”
With the Aces earning the win and eliminating the Storm, the Aces advance to the WNBA Semifinals to face Indiana.
When asked about the win, Aces Coach Becky Hammon said, “We can enjoy this win for tonight but tomorrow we gotta get back to business.”
