After being drafted by the Las Vegas Aces in 2024, Kate Martin set herself apart as fan favorite.
It came as a shock to no one that fans have been excited to see her compete in the 3-on-3 Unrivaled league.
Unfortunately, Martin has not been playing with her Unrivaled team, the Laces BC since the beginning of February.
Martin has only played in six games, averaging 7.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.
Reportedly, Martin is facing a left leg injury. By the looks of it, she needs more time to recover.
According to According to Meghan L. Hall of For The Win, the former Las Vegas Aces guard isn’t expected to return to the Laces lineup in any upcoming games as she will continue to rehab from her injury.
She is projected to “return towards the end of the season,” there’s no specific date.
“Kate Martin and Kahleah Copper are not expected to be on the bench during upcoming games as they continue to rehab from injuries. They are expected to return to towards the end of the season,” Hall wrote.
The Laces have two games left this season and it is unknown if they will make a playoff run.
In the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league, only the top four teams make the playoffs.
With the Laces playoff situation hanging in the balance, it is unclear if Martin will have another opportunity to finish the season.
