The New York Liberty are set to face the Chicago Sky, looking to keep their undefeated streak alive.

New York stands with the Minnesota Lynx as the only two teams in the WNBA with undefeated records. Heading into the Liberty matchup on Tuesday, New York sits at 8-0 on the season, ranked as the No. 1 team in the Eastern Conference standings.

They'll play host to the Sky, who are sitting at 2-5 on the season.

Before their matchup against the Sky, the Liberty revealed that WNBA All-Star center Jonquel Jones has been ruled out.

Jones is nursing an ankle injury. She was active last game for the Liberty, an 86-78 win over the Washington Mystics, but New York has since been monitoring her status.

Throughout the season, Jonquel Jones has posted 13.9 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. She established herself years ago as one of the best rebounders in the game and continues to prove that with her double-double average.

During the team's last matchup against the Mystics, where Jones played just six minutes, she finished the game with three points, four rebounds and one assist.

While Jonquel Jones has been ruled out for the matchup against the Chicago Sky, she will likely be re-evaluated as the team prepares for its next matchup.

The Liberty will be facing the Indiana Fever on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.

New York's matchup against the Fever could make for a potential comeback from two stars. Indiana is monitoring a return for Clark from a leg injury and New York awaits another update on Jones.
