Angel Reese , Chicago Sky forward, has been sorely missed by her teammates as she continues to recuperate from her back injury. Reese has missed the last six games with the Sky and the team has been definitely struggling with her absence. Recently, the Sky met the Connecticut Sun where they lost abysmally.

While Reese and her teammates could not push through towards a win against the Connecticut Sun, the talented forward’s mother, Angel Webb, had another reason for looking away from the painful game. Webb called out the terrible sports broadcasting during the game and shared a tweet voicing her frustrations.

“Omg gotta mute this game bc these two broadcasters are

,” Angel Webb tweeted from her X account.

The Chicago Sky vs. Connecticut Sun matchup was definitely painful to watch, with Angel Reese’s team getting thrashed with a final 71-62. The Sky had Kamilla Cardoso to lead them with a total of 24 points, grabbing nine rebounds, while Elizabeth Williams added another 12 points to the scoreboard. On the other side, the Sun had Leila Lacan and Tine Charles, who put up 17 points and 15 points, respectively.

Chicago Sky fans are eagerly awaiting Angel Reese’s return from her back injury since the star forward’s absence has been a major reason why the team has faltered terribly. As of now, Reese is listed as day-to-day, but there is no clear update as to when the player will be cleared to return to play.

Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky To Meet Valkyries Soon

Meanwhile, Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky will try to put the loss against the Connecticut Sun behind them and head to the matchup with the Golden State Valkyries with gusto. The Sky will also try their best to make up for their previous defeat against the Valkyries earlier this month, which ended in Chicago getting thrashed with a 73-66 final score.

The defeat at the hands of the Connecticut Sun has pushed the Chicago Sky to the 12th position overall in the WNBA and fifth in the Eastern Conference table with only eight wins. It is definitely clear that the Chicago Sky team has been dismally losing their hold in this WNBA season and the team will be eager to shake off a three-game losing streak. Reese’s teammates will also be eagerly awaiting her return as they hope to do better in this half of the season.
