Paige Bueckers returned to the court against the Phoenix Mercury after missing four games for the Dallas Wings. On her comeback, she put up a historic 35 points on the board in 37 minutes played, with six rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.
She was very happy to finally return to the game she loves.
"Feels great…basketball is the game that I love…this is the group that I love to be around…I felt great…we’re all just trying to get better, all just trying to build…just trying to get better." She said post-game.
Bueckers looked great on the court today and this break served as an energizer to charge her back up again.
“I feel good…feels great being healthy for the most part…as far as chemistry goes, we’re continuing to build…just getting back into our roles….and having difficult conversations which leads to growth," Bueckers said.
Despite her dominant performance, Dallas failed to secure another win. The Mercury handed them their tenth loss of the season. Bueckers’ time in the WNBA has been tough so far.
"Just trying to work to win games…just trying to take anything that takes to win games, and contribute to winning." She said.
