The month of July hasn't been pretty for the Dallas Wings, who posted a 3-7 record in their 10 games and dropped a heartbreaker against the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday. However, they do have a chance to start August off on a high note with the return of Maddy Siegrist.
As confirmed by Myah Taylor of the Dallas Morning News, Siegrist will be available for the team's Friday matchup against the Indiana Fever after missing the past 17 games with a right knee injury.
The 6-foot-2 forward was playing some of the best basketball of her young career before going down with an injury, averaging 9.4 points and 5.2 rebounds.
The return of Siegrist also marks some rare stability for Dallas, as the team now has 11 available players for the third time since May, according to a release.
While Dallas' No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft has been shining of late, registering the second-most games with at least 15 points and five assists by a rookie, the absence of Siegrist has been evident.
Not only is she fourth on the team in scoring despite missing 17 games, but she is also tied for second in rebounds. Adding her back into the lineup gives Dallas another scoring option, which can open things up for Bueckers, and her tenacity on the boards can add to a Wings team that ranks first in the WNBA in rebounds per game.
Friday's game is set to tip at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on ION.
