Caitlin Clark is having another great year for the Indiana Fever. The 6-foot guard is currently averaging 21.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game. She’s also averaging 45.0% from the field and 35.7% from three.

Clark is the second-leading scorer of the Fever, trailing Kelsey Mitchell, who’s averaging 24.3 points per game.

The three-time WNBA All-Star is leading the whole WNBA in assists per game. However, she is also leading the league in turnovers with 4.6 per game.

Renowned sportscaster Skip Bayless believes that Clark is not fully to blame for her high turnover rate.

Skip Bayless demands Indiana Fever teammates should be ready for Caitlin Clark’s passes

Clark is considered one of the best passers in the league. She even led the league in assists during her rookie season. The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year has never averaged less than eight assists a game in her career.

However, her turnover number was always high. She averaged more than five turnovers a game in her first two years in the league.

Despite that, Bayless believes that it is on her teammates to be more ready to receive Clark’s passes.

“Caitlin Clark is by far the W’s best passer – best ever in the W,” the 74-year-old posted on X on Saturday. “Every game 3-4 of her passes are so stunning teammates aren’t ready, can’t convert.”

Bayless even talked about the Fever’s last game against the Dallas Wings where Clark put up another impressive double-double.

“Last night egregious: Could’ve had 20 assts,” Bayless continued. “CC (Caitlin Clark) also leads by far in turnovers. Passes can be high risk, intercepted or dropped.”

Clark has 20 games with 20+ PTS and 10+ AST, the most in the history of the WNBA. No other player has more than 10 games of that stature.

The veteran sports analyst has been vocal about his support for the Fever star. He has called out Clark’s teammates before for seemingly snubbing her from the MVP race.
