Sophie Cunningham Personal Update Emerges Outside of Indiana Fever

Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham turned 30 on Aug. 16. She was in action for the Fever on her special day as Indiana secured a 95-91 overtime win over Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream. Cunningham logged 32 minutes off the bench, finishing with three points, seven rebounds and one assist.

That matchup marked the Fever’s first game in an extended five-game road trip. It was a demanding stretch for Cunningham and Co., but they managed to go 3-2 on the road. They played their last game before the WNBA’s FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup break on Aug. 28, defeating the Connecticut Sun at home, 111-91.

Because of the Fever’s busy WNBA schedule, Cunningham had to postpone her birthday celebrations. It wasn’t until the league went on a 17-day hiatus that she finally had time to celebrate with family and friends.

On Monday, Cunningham’s sister Lindsey posted photos and videos from their weekend getaway. It appears that Cunningham’s group rented a house at the Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach in her home state of Missouri. Lindsey Cunningham’s Instagram stories also showed the group partying on a boat.

The Fever star’s older sister also posted a video of Sophie Cunningham blowing out her birthday cake as the entire group serenaded her.

“next year we won’t wait to do the bday cake after an entire day drinking on the boat ” the caption of the video read.
