The Indiana Fever have been derailed by injuries all season, most notably with the loss of Caitlin Clark.
Clark missed a majority of the season and was recently ruled out for the rest of the season, announcing the news on her personal social media account.
With Clark out of the lineup and several other players absent following season-ending injuries, Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White addressed the loss of the WNBA star.
White admitted that it's been a difficult road with Clark out of the lineup.
"It's not easy," White said. "There's so many pieces of being injured that come into play. The hope is that when we look down the road… this is a little blurb for her, learning different kinds of adversity."

Clark played a total of 13 games for the Fever this season. White was looking to lead the Fever to a WNBA title in her first season back with the team, but losing several players to season-ending injuries has made that extremely difficult.
Along with Clark, the Fever have also lost Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald, Sydney Colson and Chloe Bibby.
Throughout her second season in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark posted 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. Clark kicked off the season with a strong start but will continue to rehab before returning to the court.
Indiana is 22-20 and seventh in the WNBA standings with two games left in the regular season. The Fever are battling the Seattle Storm (22-21) and Los Angeles Sparks (19-22) for the last two playoff spots. Indiana can clinch a playoff berth Sunday with a win against the Washington Mythics or with a Sparks loss to the Chicago Sky.
