The Las Vegas Aces (0-1) are looking to get back into this series as they take on the Indiana Fever (1-0) on Tuesday, September 23 at 6:30pm PT on ESPN.
The Aces have to come up with a new game plan to come away with a game two win at home before they head out on the road to Indiana for games three and four.
During the regular season, the Aces averaged 86.3 points per game and only scored 73 points in Sunday’s loss while shooting 40.8% from the field. That’s slightly lower than their regular season average of 43.9%.
Four-time MVP A’ja Wilson had a lowkey game on Sunday, grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds in 34 minutes and shooting a cold 6 of 22 from the floor.
Indiana smothered Wilson on the defensive end and she was ineffective in her scoring consistently.
To be successful against the Fever on Tuesday, the Aces will need to aim to shoot 50% or above from the floor.
Dana Evans continues to be a spark on the court for the Aces. On Sunday, she came off the bench to score 14 points and shoot 6 of 9 from the floor.
Jewell Loyd went an icy 1 of 5 from the floor in Sunday’s game. The Aces hope to improve their depth off the bench.
Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever on Sunday, scoring 34 points and shooting 54.4% from the floor, while Aliyah Boston went 3 of 9 from the floor and scored 6 points.
Should the Aces be victorious in this game, they will travel to Indiana for games three and four. Game three will be played on Friday, September 26 at 4:30pm PT on ESPN2 and game four will be played on Sunday, September 28 at 12pm PT on ABC.
