The 2025 WNBA playoffs tip off Sunday with all eight teams in action. For Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, though, the season is over after finishing 10-34, tied with the Dallas Wings for the league’s worst record.

It marks the second straight year the Sky have missed the postseason, and while the mood in Chicago is understandably down, there are bright spots. Reese earned another WNBA All-Star nod and once again led the league in rebounding.

Her 12.6 boards per game secured a spot among the league’s three 2025 WNBA Peak Performers , joining Phoenix Mercury guard Alyssa Thomas (9.2 assists) and Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson (23.4 points).

Reese didn’t quite match last season’s 13.1 rebounds per game but still finished with a 2.4-rebound edge over second-place finisher Wilson.

Reese also closed the year averaging 14.7 points, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals and became the fastest player in WNBA history to grab 15 or more rebounds in four straight games.

The 23-year-old accomplished all of that while also recording a league-leading 23 double-doubles, bringing her career total to 49.

Reese was the seventh overall pick by the Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft after a standout college career playing for the Maryland Terrapins and the LSU Tigers.
