WNBA Player Sends Strong Message to Indiana Fever After Getting Released

The Indiana Fever have been making moves all season, given constant struggles that surface on the injury report.

Indiana has dealt with the loss of Caitlin Clark for a majority of the season. The Fever have also lost Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson due to season-ending injuries

After the latest move with Cunningham being ruled out, Indiana released Lambert. They also wound up signing Shey Peddy.

Lambert spoke on the Fever's decision after being released by the WNBA team.

"I got released today," Lambert said. "But I gained a lot of clarity these five days... Regardless of duration, this was a great experience. Huge thank you to the Indiana Fever organization for giving me the opportunity. "

Lambert also mentioned that she is incredibly grateful for all of the love, prayers and support she has gained during her short journey with the Indiana Fever.

Kyra Lambert played 0 minutes during her time with the Indiana Fever. As she mentioned, she was with the team for five days before hearing the news about her release.

Before playing for the Fever, Lambert played for several programs overseas. She was also a well known name in the collegiate atmosphere, having played for Texas and Duke.

As the Indiana Fever deal with several season-ending injuries, they are waiting on the return of Caitlin Clark.

Throughout her second season in the WNBA, Clark has posted 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game.
