AEW Dynamite Preview (9/24/25): Tony Khan Has an Important Announcement

The first AEW Dynamite, post-All Out, airs live from Pittsburgh’s Peterson Events Centre. The gaps in the card, which late and last-minute graphic drops will fill, leave plenty of room for speculation and expectation.

While some of AEW’s biggest hitters take time off for injury, the returns of Eddie Kingston, PAC, and Jack Perry add more spice to an already potent and flavorful roster.

Plenty of outcomes will lead to new and continuing stories. Jurassic Express reunited.  FTR vs. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage has only become more personal and will become more unhinged. In the women’s division, Kris Statlander shocked the fans perhaps even more than “Timeless” Toni Storm by winning the AEW Women’s World Championship. Wednesday night, expect to hear from the new and former champion about what’s next.

Some big surprises seem to be in store from a mystery man’s return and Tony Khan. Tony, tell us your secrets.

Matches Announced

  • The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe and ???) and Hologram vs. The Don Callis Family (Hechicero, Konosuke Takeshita, and Kazuchika Okada)

Freshly Squeezed Conglomerating?

After Mark Briscoe’s biggest singles victory, the Sussex County chicken farmer challenged the Don Callis Family to trios action. Briscoe maybe looking for that rematch with Kyle Fletcher. Or perhaps he may pivot to the AEW Unified Champion. With the Conglomeration in recent weeks reuniting, someone is noticeably missing.

Foreshadowed rather than teased, Kyle O’Reilly made the phone call. A thumbs up and a “whatever” later confirmed our hopes. It appears Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy is about to return!

AEW’s most relaxed workhorse has healed and is ready for action. Given that Cassidy was the man who elevated the AEW International Championship and Okada, character-wise wise is in his lazy phrase, a possible future feud writes itself. However, that’s if you forget the events of the three-way AEW Unified Championship match at All Out. Mascara Dorada might be the wrestler everyone was raving about post-match, but the issues between Konosuke Takeshita and Okada are not settled.

Yet the issues between Konosuke Takeshita and Okada persist.

So much story potential without even considering the combinations of mini matches. Including the technical lucha exhibition between Hologram and Hechicero, a clash of characters between Briscoe and Okada and more.

Tony Khan’s Big Announcement

It’s been a long while since Tony Khan had a big announcement. Memes aside, there’s a lot to speculate on. There are plenty of possibilities.

Another international Grand Slam? We already know AEW is returning to Australia. Grand Slam Mexico was a huge success. Could AEW be about to take Grand Slam to Japan? Europe?

Perhaps the delayed introduction of the women’s tag team championship is over. Or maybe after the continuous multi-woman chaos meets its natural conclusion. An all-female blood and guts match!

One of Tony Khan’s last big announcements was informing us when tickets for All In at Wembley Stadium would commence. Given AEW’s run of form and UK popularity, there’s hope that the attendance record achieved by the first stopover in London could be equalled or smashed. I’ve already written elsewhere about what needs to happen at Wembley in 2026 here.
