Ever since news about Chris Jericho’s All Elite Wrestling contract being up at the end of 2025 and Jericho sharing WWE-related contact, there has been speculation that the future Hall of Famer is returning to the promotion. Jericho is once again toying with fans in his recent interview with

Chris Jericho Will Wrestle “Somewhere” In 2026

The good news is that Jericho is not done with pro wrestling. The bad news is we don't know where the star is going to be wrestling. In an interview on the  Tim Weisberg Show in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Jericho was asked about if he will be wrestling in 2026.

He said:

“Well, you never know, man. That’s the thing is — I’m not done yet. So, still figuring out everything and we’ll see where I end up. But I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere.”

Jericho has been on a wrestling hiatus and seems to be concentrating more on his music career. The interview on the Tim Weisberg Show was actually for his KISS cover band Kuarantine.

His last match was on April 6 at the 2025 AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. There, Jericho would lose the ROH World Heavyweight Title to Bandido. Bandido is still the champion.

WWE Vs. AEW

If Jericho decides not to re-sign with AEW and go back to WWE, there are reports on what his run with the company would be like. As previously reported, WWE’s offer to Jericho is a retirement storyline. Supposedly, the one similar to John Cena’s farewell tour, which ends on December 13. It’s not a bad idea if that’s what Jericho wants. He does deserve one last run with the company.

Jericho has been with AEW for six years and before that had a stint in New Japan Pro Wrestling. The last WWE match was in April 2018, where he was one of the entrants in the Greatest Royal Rumble PLE. The PLE took place in King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Ironically, WWE is hosting the first Royal Rumble outside of North America in Saudi Arabia. If he were to return to WWE, the Royal Rumble would be the place to make his grand entrance.

What does AEW Tony Khan think about the whole situation? Khan has talked about Jericho a little bit in interviews, and every time he has just said that he would like Jericho to re-sign with the company. Obviously, one can’t blame him. Jericho is charismatic and good in the ring.
