Always one to find a smart way to use social media, Drew McIntyre isn't wasting any time using rumors of WWE leaning into AI as a way to crack jokes. In a recent post of his own, The Scottish Psycopath poked fun at WWE for seemingly using AI to help with their creative. He specifically took a shot at a video post by WWE, one that included an opinion as Cody Rhodes and McIntyre got into it on Friday night in the main event.
What in the ChatGPT are you on about?! 😂I know you’re on Cody’s payroll but try to be less obvious next time.He took the DQ like the coward (and fraud) he is. https://t.co/7R9U9kvb5Ypic.twitter.com/z2wKFvYT6A— Drew (@DMcIntyreWWE) October 19, 2025
WWE shared footage of the impromptu main event match between Cody and Drew on Friday's episode of SmackDown. When Jacob Fatu was attacked backstage and couldn't compete, Rhodes accused McIntyre of taking Fatu out. He came in his street clothes to fight McIntyre, but got himself disqualified when he hit McIntyre with the title belt.
WWE wrote that Cody put Drew in his place, but McIntyre didn't quite see it that way. Suggesting that Cody took the easy way out and got himself disqualified, Drew asked in a reply post, "What in the ChatGPT are you on about?! I know you’re on Cody’s payroll, but try to be less obvious next time. He took the DQ like the coward (and fraud) he is."
Last month, WWE brought on Cyrus Kowsari as the new Senior Director of Creative Strategy. Kowsari was introduced to the creative team, and everyone was told he would spearhead WWE’s transition to AI-driven storytelling. Triple H is reportedly leaning into integrating AI into creative services—ranging from video production to graphics.
WWE now has a contract with Writer AI, a platform already "trained" on WWE content. Unfortunately, rumors are that early AI usage by WWE has seen some unusual results. In one story (it's unclear how true it is), Bobby Lashley—who the AI seemingly believed was still on the roster—would return as a wrestler obsessed with Japanese culture and history.
This, of course, has opened the door for wrestlers like McIntyre to poke fun at the narrative that WWE is relying on a not-up-to-date platform and technology that is bound to make mistakes... kind of like when it says that Cody "put Drew in his place".
