ECW Legend’s WWE 2K25 Debut Sparks Hype Thanks To Fresh DLC Details
ECW

Still no word on who the missing celebrity guest from May's WWE 2K25 pack was supposed to be, but the DLC train rolls on. June's DLC added Abyss, Great Khali, and some NBA stars to the game, and now we're already looking forward to what's to come at the end of this month. So much so that one of WWE 2K25's developers has revealed exciting new details about a wrestler who will be making their WWE video game debut via the next pack.

New Jack Makes His WWE Game Debut Via Its Next DLC Pack

That someone is ECW legend, New Jack. The inclusion of New Jack in a WWE game at all is pretty surprising, as the controversial star never wrestled a single match in WWE. He left an indelible mark on ECW and the hardcore wrestling scene in general though, and the WWE 2K25 version of New Jack will reflect that.

WWE 2K developer Bryan Williams shared some details about in-game New Jack on Twitter. Clearly wanting the in-game version of the late wrestler to be as accurate to his real-life wrestling persona as possible, New Jack will have two entrances in WWE 2K25. One regular entrance for standard singles matches, and a second entrance for one-on-one no disqualification matches.

What's So Special About New Jack In WWE 2K25?

When there are no rules, New Jack will drag a trash can full of weapons to the ring with him in WWE 2K25. He'll throw the trash can in the ring before climbing in after it, and all of the weapons inside will be scattered throughout the ring when he does. There will be continuity between the entrance and the match starting, as the tossed weapons will remain scattered across the mat for both wrestlers to grab and use once the bell rings.

On top of that, New Jack's theme will continue playing throughout the match. Williams wanted to highlight that feature, in particular, to make sure those who pick up the DLC later this month and play as New Jack realize that's intended and not a bug. A lot of younger wrestling fans will be introduced to New Jack by WWE 2K25 and might not know that the ECW star's music would continue playing as he wrestled.

If you want to play as New Jack in a WWE video game for the first time when he arrives in WWE 2K25 later this month, you can do so by downloading the Fearless Pack when it drops on July 23. If you've bought the Season Pass or you picked up the Deadman or Bloodline editions of WWE 2K25, the DLC should download automatically, or be free to claim if it doesn't. You will be able to buy and download it separately if you have the standard edition of the game.
