Perhaps there hasn't been a more creative mind in the WWE Universe than Bray Wyatt. A character with many different incarnations, Wyatt gave us amazing and terrifying memories that include The Fiend and John Cena's (first) descent into madness as a heel.
Bray Wyatt's untimely passing in 2023 was a devastating shock to many, but his legacy continues to spread throughout the WWE Universe. Earlier this week, Universal Studios, in conjunction with WWE, announced that Wyatt, as well as the Wyatt Sicks, will be featured in their Halloween Horror Nights haunted attractions.
Speaking to The Sportster ahead of this year's SummerSlam, Alexa Bliss told us how excited she was to see the new attraction, and how wonderful it is to see Wyatt's legacy carry on.
Bray Wyatt brought horror and terror to the WWE Universe, and through his work as The Fiend, he put opponents like Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and Finn Balor through intense mind games and vicious madness. Through 2020 and 2021, Alexa Bliss became a part of the Firefly Fun House world, with a demonic shift in persona that saw the introduction of Lilly, the haunted Annabelle-like doll that was central to her character.
In 2024, Bo Dallas, Wyatt's brother, reintroduced fans to Uncle Howdy, a segment of Wyatt's larger plan to create a stable based on his Fun House characters. The stable, the Wyatt Sicks, debuted in marvelous fashion last June, and includes Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, and current WWE Tag Team Champions Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis. With the news of Universal Studios' inclusion of the Wyatt Sicks as part of their Haunted Horror Nights, Wyatt's visions and legacy live on outside the WWE Universe.
Bliss says she's excited to go see it, and that she immediately contacted WWE's team to get there as soon as possible.
I'm so excited for that. When I saw the announcement, I immediately texted [WWE Talent Relations]. I was like, I want to go. I want to see it, because I think it's so great to find so many ways outside of the box to still honor Bray and Windham as a person, and I think Halloween Horror Nights is right up that alley. I am so excited.
One of the most dynamic and creative Superstars in WWE's history, Bray Wyatt left an incredible legacy in an unfairly brief lifetime. Equal parts terrifying, sadistic, and introspective, Wyatt was beloved by the WWE Universe, and Bliss shares the enthusiasm of many to see more of his visions come to life. The Wyatt Sicks remain WWE Tag Team Champions after a wild TLC match at SummerSlam, and now with gold around Alexa Bliss' waist, along with her "frenemy" Charlotte Flair, we can expect to see more of Bray Wyatt's fingerprints all over upcoming WWE programming.
Universal Studios' "Halloween Horror Nights" runs in Orlando from August 29th through November 2nd, and in Hollywood from September 4th through November 2nd.
