Featherweight title match announced for MLW Lucha Apocalypto

A new match has been announced for MLW Lucha Apocalypto Women’s World Featherweight Champion Janai Kai will defend her title in a triple-threat match against CMLL’s Lluvia and Persephone on the show. MLW announced the news on Tuesday, writing, “The stakes couldn’t be higher as Janai Kai, the reigning MLW Women’s World Featherweight Champion and member of CONTRA, faces the challenge of not one, but two of CMLL’s finest luchadoras, Lluvia and Persephone, in a triple threat, one-fall-to-a-finish title fight.” The event takes place on Saturday, November 9, at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois. Kai defeated Delmi Exo for the title at MLW Slaughterhouse 2023 a little over a year ago. She’s defended it ten times since then, including against Exo in a Taekwondo Rules match at last month’s MLW Pit Fighters show.
