  • ThisGenGaming reveals cut features from old WWE games, like Floyd Mayweather in SVR09.
  • Unreleased sequels and early builds show various cut content, such as TNA Impact 2 and WCW on the PS2.

Content getting cut from a video game before being released is very common in the industry. So it is no surprise to know that this has been a thing with professional wrestling games numerous times. Ranging from the AKI/Asmik Ace titles on the Nintendo 64 to more modern 2K editions of the WWE games, every game has at least one thing or another that didn't end up making it to the final release.

ThisGenGaming on social media has been showing off some of that content from older titles like No Mercy, WWF Raw, an unreleased sequel to TNA Impact, and plenty more.

Cut WWE Video Game Content

ThisGenGaming has been showing off a host of different features and things that were cut from previous WWE games, such as Floyd Mayweather appearing in SmackDown vs. Raw 2009, a ton of stuff from the unreleased SmackDown vs. Raw Online video game, and some early concepts for what would become WWE All Stars.

They also have shown off some early builds for WWF No Mercy, which would see the game look a lot like WrestleMania 2000 but with a blue theme. Some minor things were shown, like the usage of light tubes in SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 and Mike Adamle being included in SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 as the General Manager of Raw.

TNA Impact 2 And WCW On The PlayStation 2

WWE wasn't the only company with cut content, as ThisGenGaming, with some help from others, showed off the unreleased sequel to TNA Impact. These included what would be the planned logo, menu screen, some character models of Eric Young's hero character, Super Eric, and Jim Cornette, along with many more assets.

There were also renders of what Scott Steiner, Booker T, The Wall, and Jeff Jarrett would look like in the EA Big WCW PlayStation 2 video game. There is plenty of other content not mentioned, so check out ThisGenGaming's account to see what else was shown off.
