Hulk Hogan's Widow Addresses Ric Flair Allegations

Pro wrestling icon Hulk Hogan died on July 24 due to a heart attack, but Ric Flair made public comments that contradicted the cause of his death and official diagnosis.

In an interview on the Double Coverage podcast, Flair said he spoke with Hogan prior to his death. Flair claimed that Hogan's doctors stopped prescribing him the proper medicine to combat his health problems, and in response, said Hogan resorted to unorthodox methods to obtain the medications he needed.

Hogan's widow, Sky, has now addressed the Flair allegations in an interview with TMZ, and simply said that they weren't true. She said that Flair was either given bad information or misunderstood what he was told. She confirmed that Hogan was regularly in the care of the Morton Plant Hospital in Florida, and that doctors changed his medication because of a neck procedure and didn't want the medicine to impact his lungs.

Hogan's widow also confirmed to TMZ that Hogan did not speak to Flair the day before he passed away. Hogan was 71 at the time of his death.

Hulk Hogan family reportedly not angry with Ric Flair

The TMZ report indicates that the Hogan family isn't angry with Flair. They recognize that Flair and Hogan were friends, but wanted to make sure the public knew that Flair was incorrect.

Hulk Hogan was a multiple-time world champion in WWE and was the star that McMahon led his WWE national expansion with in the 1980s. He was also a world champion in WCW. Hogan entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 as an individual act and then again in 2020 as part of the NWO.

As for Flair, he wrestled his last match in 2022. The event was billed as the Last Match of Ric Flair and featured Flair teaming with Andrade to take on Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. Flair and Andrade were victorious.

Like Hogan, Flair is also a multiple-time WWE Hall of Famer. He entered the Hall of Fame in 2008 as an individual and again in 2012 as a member of The Four Horsemen. For years, Flair held the record for winning the most world titles ever, but that record was broken by John Cena at WrestleMania this year.

Cena and Flair were both at 16 world title reigns going into 2025, but Cena beat Cody Rhodes to win the world title for a 17th time at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
