'I Hate All of This': CM Punk Gets a Surprise Present From Danhausen
AEW

They might work in different companies now (even though one of them hasn't been on TV in forever), but WWE's CM Punk and AEW's Danhausen continue to remain good friends. In case you needed proof, the two met up over SummerSlam weekend, and as Danhausen showed on his YouTube vlog, he had a very special present for CM Punk that made both wrestlers laugh.

Danhausen Gifted CM Punk With A Hilarious T-Shirt

Danhausen isn't currently appearing on AEW TV, but he's still as entertaining as ever on his YouTube channel Love That Danhausen. In his latest video, he attended a convention where he hung out with several wrestling stars. Danhausen had himself being filmed meeting JBL and Ron Simmons of APA fame, and former WWE star Shotzi (who has a Danhausen tattoo on her leg!), but the highlight of the video was when he met up with CM Punk.

Danhausen told Punk that he had a gift for him, which got an annoyed Punk, playing along, to say, "I hate all of this." They were in a hotel room for a convention ahead of SummerSlam, or SlammerSlam as Danhausen called it. Danhuasen continued:

"I bought a gift for you because you finally main evented Monday Night Wrestling Mania. So this is a gift for you... It's very special. Close your eyes. I'm not going to punch you in the groin, I promise."

CM Punk covered his eyes and was handed a black t-shirt. When he opened his eyes and looked at the shirt, he laughed out loud and told Danhausen how much he hated him. Turning it to the camera, the shirt showed two pictures of Danhausen, one of his shaking hands with Bret Hart (Punk's favorite wrestler), and one of him shaking hands with AJ Lee (Punk's wife). Danhausen told him:

"If you wear it live on television, you're going to win the world championship."

CM Punk didn't wear the shirt, but he still won the World Heavyweight Championship from Gunther at SummerSlam, or SlammerSlam, only to lose it minutes later to Seth Rollins when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Would Danhausen Be A Good Fit In WWE?

There is no character in wrestling quite like Danhausen. In an era where kayfabe no longer exists, he's one of the few who is rarely ever seen outside of his gimmick in public. When he joined AEW, he was extremely over with fans and even formed a fun, short-lived tag team with Hook called Hookhausen. Sadly, his time in AEW has been hindered both by injuries and Tony Khan not booking him when he is healthy.

Could we ever see Danhausen in WWE? Having CM Punk being a good friend could certainly help him get in the door. As R-Truth has shown, comedy gimmicks can get you over in WWE, and even if he didn't go the main roster, Danhausen would be a fun addition to NXT.
