Is Goldberg Going to Win the WWE World Title from Gunther on Saturday Night's Main Event?

Goldberg keeps coming back for “one more match,” but pretty soon, his career will come to an end.

The 58-year-old former WCW champion is already in the WWE Hall of Fame, and he recently challenged Gunther to a match for a World title match on the July 12 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Goldberg is known for his 172-match winning streak in the late 1990s, which included his WCW championship victory over “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan. He appeared in WWE for the first time with a win over The Rock at Backlash 2003.

Goldberg has made sporadic comebacks, and he recently talked about training for his retirement match, which many people assume will be the championship bout against Gunther.

Do you see anything about Goldberg’s retirement? No! That’s going to be a big deal. Maybe WWE will save Goldberg’s last match for the first-ever SummerSlam doubleheader in August. Do you know what that means?

Goldberg is winning the title! He’s going to beat Gunther on Saturday Night’s Main Event, and he’ll defend it in his retirement match at SummerSlam. That’s my prediction.

If you think Goldberg is too “Oldberg” to pull this off, think again. Goldberg defeated Kevin Owens for the Universal championship in 2017 before losing it to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. Goldberg won his second Universal title by defeating “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in 2020.

So don’t be surprised to see Goldberg hoist the gold one more time before he hangs up his boots. You heard it here first.
