This is bad news for AEW’s tag team faction since Fenix and Pentagon, the Lucha Brothers, are part of their origin roster. As per the report by Bryan Alvarez, there is a feeling inside AEW that both of the luchadors, Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, could be off to WWE whenever their contracts expire. This speculation is coming after the rumors posted by WrestlePurists, which at some point on Monday morning suggested that the two aerial performers are destined for the exit in AEW.
Furthermore, a scheduled Trios Championship match that had the Lucha Brothers facing off at the soon-to-take-place All-In event has since turned into a different match, which fuels the speculation of the wrestlers’ possible departure. It has been reported that the current deal signed with AEW by Penta El Zero Miedo has been promised to come to an end between August and September of this year.
There has been a great deal of activity from WWE in terms of trying to sign him, according to various sources, including LuchaLibreonline in June. Another source (Fightful) has stated that the Rey Fenix contract is expiring this year as well, thus adding to the hype regarding the future of the duo. A legacy Lucha Brothers in AEW
It is essential to understand that AEW was actively involved in establishing them as an essential part of the promotion from the very beginning. Besides, Fenix has also had a reign with the AEW International Championship under his belt. Within the past few months, Death Triangle has also toured one of Mexico’s oldest wrestling promotions, CMLL wrestling. In December, they wrestled Mascara Dorada, Mistico, and Volador Jr., and despite doing well in the match, they lost the fight. All though the fight was very immense in between them. This was in their continuing pursuit of their wrestling abilities beyond singing for the AEW company.

This arose when there were rumors that the Lucha Brothers were looking to leave AEW, which would be a notable loss since they have been an integral part of the company’s tag team and trio divisions. It may also have prospective meanings for AEW’s future storylines and roster since Cody and the Young Bucks are some of the most exciting and respected wrestlers within the industry nowadays.
Upon the expiration of the their contractual periods, fans and analysts are likely to wait, anticipating whether they will go to WWE or whether they will remain in AEW and usher through the rest of their wrestling careers in the company. The Lakers could start the Luka Doncic era. Ultimately, the talent is still there for Slafkovsky, and at 21-years old, he'll continue to learn off the ice, and if he can go anywhere close to living up to the potential that he's shown in his first three years at the NHL level, there's no doubt that he can be a big time star and help lead the Canadiens to significant post-season success.
