The hulking frame of Karrion Kross has been making waves since WrestleMania 41. The former NXT Champion got rave reviews from the fans and critics for cutting a shoot-style promo on the recap show of the two-night wrestling spectacle in Las Vegas. Kross completely blurred the lines between kayfabe and reality. Many were reminded of CM Punk’s infamous pipebomb from 2011, and some said the promo had shades of The Miz’s iconic shoot on Talking Smack against Daniel Bryan in 2016.
As per Fightful Select, his contract is up next month unless an extension has already been agreed upon. The outlet couldn’t confirm whether ‘The Doomsday’ has re-signed with WWE or not. But backstage buzz is pointing in the direction that Kross and his wife, Scarlett, will stay. For the unversed, both Kross and his wife were previously released from the company in 2021 but re-signed the very next year with a three-year deal.
The company has dispensed some new merchandise for the 265-pounder as well. Moreover, he’s currently engrossed in a feud with Sami Zayn. At last Saturday’s Night of Champions PLE, the former ‘Honorary Uce’ got the better of Kross. The latter’s loss didn’t sit well with the netizens, with dislikes outnumbering likes on the match highlights of Zayn vs. Kross on WWE’s YouTube channel.
Unless terms were already reached for an extension, Karrion Kross & Scarlett’s WWE contracts are up next month.

Those spoken to in WWE expect that the duo will be staying as Kross has been featured regularly on television, was on a recent PLE and has got new merchandise.

The erstwhile leader of ‘The Final Testament’ failed to deliver on his promise of exposing his rival for the liar he is. On this week’s Raw, Kross blindsided Zayn and launched an all-out assault on the former Intercontinental Champion. ‘The Harbinger of Doom’ clocked the Syrian-descent wrestler with a lead pipe to his abdominal area. And without the shadow of a doubt, their beef is not over at all.
There’s been a palpable groundswell in Karrion Kross‘ standing among the fans in recent months. But it seems like his own WWE peers are also getting into the act now. Speaking of which, current Women’s United States Champion Giulia was spotted donning one of Kross’ tees while training at RUDOS Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. ‘The Doomsday’ did take note of it by reacting with folded hands and fist bump emojis.
As mentioned earlier, the New York-born wrestler caused a stir in the wrestling space with his scathing rant after not making the cut for WrestleMania. Kross’s remarks were condemnatory, and he came across as if he were extremely disgruntled with his position in the company.

Fightful later posted a story about whether The Doomsday’s blitzkrieg of words upset the company’s higher-ups or not. Fortunately, there was no reported backstage heat on ‘The Doom Walker’. Moreover, many of Kross’s coworkers, including fellow WWE stars, personally reached out to check on him and thank him for cutting that unrestrained promo.
That, in itself, speaks volumes about Kross’s healthy relationship with his colleagues. The former Impact Wrestling figure also stood up for the entire WWE locker room against Logan Paul‘s condescending statements about them not that long ago. And this course earned him praise from a WWE Hall of Famer.
Karrion Kross’ social media presence is second to none. He usually posts cryptic notes and vignettes targeting his on-screen foes. Furthermore, ‘The Harbinger of Doom’ never holds back from appreciating his supporters through replies, something that the ‘bad guys’ typically refrain from.
However, John Bradshaw Layfield is impressed by whatever Kross is up to these days. ‘The Wrestling God’ was a guest on Bruce Prichard‘s Something to Wrestle podcast. JBL noted that Kross’ gimmick and the polishing of his character are quite unique.

“You can take your lot in life and you can just swallow it or you can say that’s my lot in life, but I’m gonna change that and he’s changing it.”

Layfield brought up that a lot of current-day wrestlers inadvertently sabotage their careers by harnessing social media, but Kross is different. Even though the Texas wrestling great was unsure of the endgame of The Doomsday’s ongoing arc, he’s confident in the latter’s abilities to make it work.
