Heading into WrestleMania 42, ESPN's Pat McAfee joined forces with WWE Championship No. 1 contender Randy Orton in Orton's fight against champion Cody Rhodes. McAfee was so confident in Orton's victory that he wagered his career on him winning the match.
Unfortunately for McAfee, Rhodes had an ally that he didn't expect: Jelly Roll. Midway through the match, Rhodes got tired of McAfee's ringside antics and beat him up before placing him on a table. Jelly Roll, who had been in Rhodes' corner, then climbed onto a table and delivered an elbow drop to McAfee.
McAfee was sent reeling and a stretcher had to be brought out to take him out of the arena. On his way out, he first gave a thumbs up to the crowd before flipping the fans the bird.

Fans on X were more than happy to see McAfee get his comeuppance for some of the trash-talk he's been doing recently:
"Most embarrassing performance of all time. Enjoy aura debt Pat..." one user wrote on X.
"Roll his ass to Mountain View hospital," another declared.
"Someone tell AJ Hawk he’s gonna have to host the show Monday…." a third joked.
"Jelly Roll out of nowhere! #YouDeservedIt."
"Dang you let Jelly Roll put your sorry piece of (expletives) in the table! Best part of WrestleMania leaving on a stretcher."
"I used to love Pat but now I wouldn't give 2 cents for you."
Ouch. Those comments probably hurt, but not as much as the elbow drop.
Hopefully he's recovered enough to do his NFL Draft duties next week.
