Intercontinental Champion Penta issued a clear warning to Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee and the rest of his opponents at WWE WrestleMania 42.
This Sunday, Penta will defend his title in a Ladder Match against the two aforementioned wrestlers, JD McDonagh, Je'Von Evans, and Rusev.
On Saturday, the champion praised Rey Mysterio, just before sending a strong warning message to him and the rest of his opponents.
"And of course my little king [Rey Mysterio], the great legend, the best of all time. That gives this fight a different flavor," Penta said about the significance of this bout, beyond the Intercontinental title dispute.
WWE host Marcelo Rodriguez noted that a Ladder Match is one of the most complicated ones one can have nowadays, but the Mexican wrestler disagreed.
"For me, it's the complete opposite; it's easier to fight in ladders. It's something I dominate very well, throughout my career I've had great ladder battles and I've won great prizes," he said.
"And somehow for me it has become a style that I can dominate more easily than any other, and the proof of that will be this Sunday here at WrestleMania," he declared.
JD McDonagh defeated Akira Tozawa, Dragon Lee beat Grayson Waller, Je'Von Evans outlasted Rayo Americano, and Rusev conquered Otis on Thursday's show, Main Event, to qualify for this big Intercontinental Championship match.
On Sunday, April 19, the action begins at 6 ET/3 PT at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
