Ric Flair is arguably the greatest wrestler of all-time, but the "Nature Boy" has been through a lot physically over his 76 years. Back in 1975, he nearly died in a plane crash. In 2017, he looked to be near death after a month-long hospital stay for a variety of ailments, including kidney failure. In 2022, Ric Flair had his last match but later revealed that he had a heart attack during it. Now, Flair is going through another battle as he has just revealed that he has skin cancer.
For weeks there have been rumors that Ric Flair has skin cancer. This mostly came from photos that showed him with red, scabby marks on his forehead. Flair denied it, last month posting on Twitter/X:
I’m Sorry People Have Been Misled By Social Media, But I Don’t Have Cancer Of Any Kind. Thank You For Your Concerns And For Everyone Reaching Out. I Am Absolutely Fine, And Unfortunately, You’ll Have To Live And Put Up With Me For Another 25 Years!— Ric Flair® (@RicFlairNatrBoy) May 6, 2025
In another tweet, Flair's son-in-law, Conrad Thompson, said the exact opposite in a reply to someone else's post.
However, on June 6, the Nature Boy finally decided to go public with his health, exclusively telling PEOPLE:
"It’s the second time in three years that I’ve been dealing with skin cancer. I will be undergoing treatment next week. Appreciate the concern."
It's understandable why Ric Flair would be dishonest about his health on social media. What he's going through is a private matter if he wants it to be. It looks as if, with the concerns about him growing, that the Nature Boy decided he couldn't hide his skin cancer diagnosis any longer. We at TheSportster wish him nothing but the best in his recovery.
