'Roman, He’s Not Coming Back' Solo Sikoa Gives Major Information Regarding The Bloodline: Smackdown 6/21
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

On the June 21st, 2024 edition of Friday Night Smackdown, the new Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa revealed a crucial departure in the world of the WWE.

While conversing with The Wise Man Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa revealed to the world that Roman Reigns is not coming back to the WWE, which would then permanently make him The Tribal Chief.

This, alongside many other factors seen on Smackdown in recent weeks, raises concern about the New Bloodline and how threatening they can truly be.

The New Bloodline

Post-WrestleMania 40, after Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship, the WWE has seen a new Bloodline rise with Solo Sikoa in charge of the faction. This new faction includes Paul Heyman, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and the recently debuting Jacob Fatu. There has been speculation about The Rock being behind this new faction, though nothing has been confirmed.

In a short time, The Tongans have already dismantled many talents in the WWE, showcasing their ability to dominate. They have attacked some of the best talents in the company, and are now feared by the entire roster.

Tama Tonga made his debut on Smackdown after WrestleMania as he kicked Solo’s older brother Jimmy Uso out of The Bloodline. He then raised his hand to the sky, acknowledging the man who seemed to be the new Tribal Chief.

Tanga Loa made his official debut at Backlash 2024, where he helped Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga defeat Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in their tag team match. They then had a vicious assault on the two wrestlers after the match and were the last team standing once the attack was over.

However, even those two are nothing compared to the force that is Jacob Fatu. Fatu made his debut on last night’s Smackdown, attacking three of the company’s top stars Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. On his own, he was able to take all three men down in one of the most devastating attacks the WWE has ever seen.

Heyman’s Concerns

Because of this recent change in the Bloodline and the faction taking a complete shift, the only remaining member of the Roman’s original Bloodline has had some concerns in recent weeks.

Paul Heyman has made it clear not only to the WWE roster but also to himself that this new Bloodline is much more dangerous than the old, and that they are not to be messed with. Every time he speaks about them, he’s saying things out of fear, knowing that the Tongans and Solo Sikoa are much more vicious than The Bloodline of the past.

This has led to Paul looking across the roster, and asking for help from multiple old friends to try and save him.

Asking for help

Paul Heyman was first seen asking for help at Backlash 2024 when he had a quick staredown with former Bloodline member Jey Uso. This was the day that Tanga Loa debuted and helped The Bloodline win their match, joining his brother and his cousin.

While they were in the backstage area walking back to what would have likely been their locker room, they had an encounter with Jey Uso. Solo Sikoa stared his brother down alongside The Tongans and kept on walking, but Paul had a different reaction on his face. It was clear that Heyman was pleading for Jey’s help, even though no words were exchanged.

On last night’s Smackdown, CM Punk made his way out to his Chicago hometown in the opening segment to cut a promo. After a quick message about Drew McIntyre, Punk could not get much else out as his old friend and ex-manager Paul Heyman made his way down the ring. Heyman talked about how much he appreciated Punk that he considers him one of his closest friends, and that he needed a favor from him.

However, his tone quickly changed as he then told Punk that he needed to leave the arena immediately because Solo Sikoa was out for everybody. The Bloodline then came out and stared at Punk from the apron, making it clear they were going to attack him. Punk then asked Heyman what he wanted from him, and Paul said “Take me with you.”

Before The Bloodline got the chance to attack CM Punk, Cody Rhodes entered the ring with a bat, resulting in Solo and the Tongans exiting the ring.

Conversations with Solo Sikoa

In recent weeks, Paul Heyman has also been seen having one-on-one conversations with Solo Sikoa. One of the first major ones they had was on the May 11th, 2024 Friday Night Smackdown. Then, Solo Sikoa revealed to Paul that he had been talking to Roman Reigns and that Roman had told him he could make decisions while he was away.

Shortly after that, Solo Sikoa had started referring to himself as The Tribal Chief, which made sense if his words added up. He continued to run through Smackdown in a dominating faction, along with The Tongans. However, Solo made one “mistake” that he wasn’t necessarily supposed to make.

Last week at Clash at the Castle, The Bloodline attacked Cody Rhodes before Randy Orton and Kevin Owens came out for the save. On the June 21st Friday Night Smackdown, before Solo went out for his match with Cody, Paul Heyman told him that Reigns said only he could put his hands on Cody and that both Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were off-limits.

Solo Sikoa then gently explained to Paul Heyman that Roman’s departure is not just temporary, it’s permanent, as he stated the words “Roman, He’s Not Coming Back.” The camera then showed Paul completely fearful and in shock, saying “That can’t be. How could that be?”

Is Roman Reigns Gone For Good?

Solo Sikoa made it evident last night that Roman Reigns is not coming back, however, there has been no proof or confirmation that Solo is actually in talks with The Tribal Chief. This could all very well have been a plan to manipulate Paul Heyman to side with Solo Sikoa when the inevitable Roman Reigns return happens.

Roman is scheduled to make his long-awaited return on the Smackdown before SummerSlam. It’s unclear whether or not Solo Sikoa will challenge for Cody’s Unsiputed WWE Championship at the PLE but it seems like that’s the route that they are headed.

This return will likely lead to a reunion between the original Bloodline, which consisted of Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, and The Usos. Fans have speculated that there will be a WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024, which could very well be likely considering the new civil war that is soon to come.
