In the Wrestlemania 41 Night 1 main event, Seth Rollins was able to stand tall with a win in the triple threat match against CM Punk and Roman Reigns. The win came along with the help of Paul Heyman, who turned on both Reigns and Punk with a low blow for each of them in guiding Rollins to the victory.

The match was a lot of fun and full of incredible moments as Rollins was able to hit the Curb Stomp on Reigns to pick up the pinfall victory. This match had a lot of intensity and drama surrounding it so let’s take a closer look at the match and discuss what should be next for each one of the competitors.

This match had a lot of false finishes and fun moments, but none was bigger than Paul Heyman choosing to align with Seth Rollins. CM Punk finally got his first Wrestlemania main event match and had In Living Colour to sing “Cult of Personality” live with Heyman at his side. Rollins seemingly had a plan to take out Punk throughout the match, but Reigns would not trust him. Now, with Rollins and Heyman together, the landscape of WWE has changed.

Do not be surprised to see this match be a pseudo number one contender’s match to face Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, this story is not finished and could be ran back at Backlash next month. There is also a possibility that this is part of a bigger picture and we see both Heyman and Rollins be paired with The Rock and John Cena to form a new version of The Authority.

For CM Punk and Roman Reigns, their story is simple: get revenge on Paul Heyman for betraying their trust. Whether that is getting physical with him or going through Seth Rollins remains to be seen. What Cody Rhodes told Roman Reigns a year ago in their Wrestlemania 40 build-up rang true as there is now no one for the Original Tribal Chief to lean on other than himself.
