TNA iMPACT Preview (10/9/25) – Bound For Glory Go-Home and NXT Showdown Fallout
Courtesy of TNA Wrestling

The Path to TNA Bound For Glory will be raging on with one last episode of iMPACT. After Victory Road last Friday and NXT Showdown, there’s not a lot to say anymore. On Sunday, it’s time for an All-Women TNA Hall of Fame Class of 2025. It’s also time for Total Non-Stop Action.

Last night at NXT Showdown , the Hardys made history when they became the first TNA talents to win an NXT Championship. Mustafa Ali failed to win the NXT North American Championship from All Ego Ethan Page. The NXT vs TNA Survivor Series-style matches benefited both companies, as Team NXT Women and Team TNA Men won. Does it mean the war is definitely over?

Usually, crossing the lines also means crossing the reviews. Bound For Glory may be a TNA PLEs taking a look at what happens on Tuesday nights has become essential to understand what may happen on Thursday nights. That’s never been truer, and it’s going to become bigger and bigger.

Meanwhile, the two major TNA titles remain in the hands of an NXT talent (even if TNA now has an NXT one). What remains terribly eNYGMAtic…

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

After abandoning Team NXT at Showdown, Trick Williams will kick off iMPACT! before his Bound For Glory TNA World Title defense against Mike Santana. With emotions at an all-time high and the line between pride and hostility wearing thin, will Williams keep his cool, or will Santana make his presence felt once again?

After their wild encounter at Victory Road and a chaotic rematch announcement by Santino Marella, the rivalry between Joe Hendry and Eric Young has reached the point of no return. Two of TNA’s most unpredictable stars collide in a No Disqualification Match that could change the landscape heading into Bound For Glory. Can Hendry finally silence the violent veteran, or will Eric Young unleash destruction?

The Nemeth Brothers made a statement last week with a vicious post-match attack on both The Home Town Man and Matt Cardona. Now, Cardona looks for payback when he steps into the ring with Ryan Nemeth, with Nic Nemeth looming at ringside. Can Cardona deliver retribution and send a message before Bound For Glory, or will the Nemeth Brothers continue to make TNA their personal playground?

Two dominant factions collide just days before Hardcore War at Bound For Glory. Mustafa Ali leads Order 4 into battle against JDC, backed by The System. With Moose, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards on one side, and Ali commanding his loyal followers on the other, this match could set the tone for who stands tall when faction warfare erupts on Sunday.

The Knockouts World Championship takes center stage as NXT’s Kelani Jordan and Indi Hartwell meet face-to-face for their official Bound For Glory Contract Signing. After weeks of cross-brand chaos, all roads lead to the biggest Knockouts clash of the year. With the Knockouts World Title and brand supremacy on the line, can this signing stay civil, or will fists fly before Sunday?

The Nygma’s View

“The Path to Bound For Glory reaches its boiling point on the final TNA iMPACT!” With three matches and three segments, I’m not sure if the boiling point will ever be reached, especially after NXT Showdown last night. Also, don’t forget that most of it was taped two weeks ago

The Matches

Matt Cardona and The Home Town Man make a nice little team. After defeating the Nemeths at Victory Road, the dirtiest brothers in the game stole the HTM mask. Last week, Nic Nemeth won against the HTM. It’s time for Matt Cardona to seek revenge on Ryan Nemeth. Nygma says: Do you smell the hair vs mask match at Bound For Glory?

JDC faces Mustafa Ali, which means the System and Order 4 at ringside. Another Hardcore War build match that will end up as a mess. Agent 0 will massacre someone. A huge brawl will erupt after the match. Nygma says: I start to sound like a broken record. I just can’t wait for Bound For Glory to see this storyline come to an end.

Joe Hendry defeated Eric Young at Victory Road, but it isn’t over, as Young and Hendry play the no-DQ game this week. Eric Young is never better than when he’s evil. The TNA Cleanser in Chief can bring all the weapons he wants, and he will. Nygma says: It’s not that I don’t believe in Joe Hendry, I just can’t.

The Segments

TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams kicks off the show. The man who let down the NXT team last night will try to make us swallow that he will win at Bound For Glory. Mike Santana, who led Team NXT to victory last night, will probably answer him. They won’t fight unless Williams provokes Santana. Well, Nygma says: A famous French song says, “Lovestories end badly, generally.”

NXT’s Kelani Jordan and Indi Hartwell will seal the deal of their TNA Knockouts World Championship match. When Jordan was unable to lead Team TNA to victory, Hartwell became a steady competitor in the iMPACT Zone. Nygma says: Even if she made her debut not that long ago, Hartwell definitely has the Champion potential. Bring the title back home, Indi!

As announced in the video below, Leon Slater will come to send a message to NXT’s Je’Von Evans. Of course, Slater sent a huge message to his Bound For Glory opponent last night. There’s no reason for the TNA X-Division Champion to fear for the title. Slater is looking forward to facing Evans as much as the fans. Nygma says: It will probably be the PLE Match of the Night. A must-watch bout.

I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! results and review. My path to Bound for Glory is far from over. After Mustafa Ali’s interview, Mike Santana’s Champion bio, I will provide you with the iMPACT results and everything Bound for Glory. This path has been exhausting, but I am Team TNA. Period. Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
