TNA iMPACT! Preview (7/10/25) – The Whiplash Effect
Courtesy of TNA Wrestling

As the road to TNA Slammiversary continues, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana were competing against Wes Lee’s The High Ryze friends, Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, on the July 8 episode of WWE NXT. Wes Lee would get involved at ringside, allowing Tyson and Tyriek to gain control of the matchup. After withstanding a vicious assault, Hendry broke free and made the tag to Santana.

While Santana went on the offensive, TNA World Champion Trick Williams made his presence felt when he appeared at ringside and sent Hendry crashing into the steel ring steps. Meanwhile, Santana would pick up the victory for his team after taking out Dupont with Spin the Block.

After the bell, Trick Williams blindsided Santana with the Trick Kick to stand tall alongside The High Ryze. On July 12, at NXT Great American Bash, Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana will sign the contract for their upcoming TNA World Championship match at TNA Slammiversary. We are two iMPACT episodes away from Slammiversary.

Its road is, and remains, definitely eNYGMAtic…

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

Before their TNA World Tag Team Title ladder match at Slammiversary, the four teams involved will collide in an 8-Man tag team showdown. As the legendary Matt and Jeff Hardy join forces with the high-flying Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed, can they bring down AJ Francis, KC Navarro, and the reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions Nic & Ryan Nemeth? Plus, TNA World Champion Trick Williams joins commentary.

What does Joe Hendry have to say following the sneak attack by Trick Williams and Frankie Kazarian during last week’s debut edition of The King’s Speech? With the TNA World Championship on the line in an epic 3-way at Slammiversary, Hendry finally breaks his silence in an exclusive interview.

The fallout from last week’s ambush by NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx leads to a tag team clash. Can Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich and her rising ally Léi Ying Lee fend off the NXT invasion? Or will Jacy Jayne continue to gain steam ahead of her historic Title vs. Title match at Slammiversary?

With their Slammiversary match looming, Cedric Alexander teams with Jason Hotch and John Skyler to take on Mustafa Ali’s Secret Service. The Elegance Brand has strutted their way through the Knockouts division, but now they face the duo of Myla Grace and Harley Hudson on iMPACT! After last week’s match between Jake Something and Mance Warner ended in a no contest, TNA International Champion Steve Maclin has demanded that both challengers face him at once.

Indi Hartwell has been targeted by Tessa Blanchard’s new ally, Victoria Crawford. With their Slammiversary match set, will Hartwell make a statement, or will Crawford pick up a major win with Blanchard watching closely from commentary?

The Nygma’s View

With six matches and a segment, this episode is the direct aftermath of what happened last week, with one little exception. Let’s start with Joe Hendry, as it’s clear he will discuss regaining the TNA World title at Slammiversary, as well as Trick Williams, Mike Santana, and Frankie Kazarian. Nygma says: I still don’t believe in him…

Masha Slamovich teams up with Lei Ying Lee against NXT’s Fatal Influence. Many have said on social media that the upcoming Slammiversary Slamovich vs. Jacy Jayne encounter has not been promoted a lot, knowing both titles will be on the line. The fact is, Jacy Jayne may not be the NXT Women’s Champion anymore after NXT Great American Bash.

Nygma says: Let’s take one week after another, let’s enjoy this match for what it is before it becomes a true Slammiversary affair. Indi Hartwell faces Victoria Crawford, ready to make a statement in front of her Slammiversary opponent, Tessa Blanchard, who will be on commentary. Nygma says: May Hartwell win or lose, Blanchard will go for a beatdown.

Who is Mustafa Ali’s Secret Service? Who will Cedric Alexander, Jason Hotch, and John Skyler face? Which side will Tasha Steelz be on?

Nygma has no clue at all.

The exception I was talking about. The Elegance Brand faces Harley Hudson and Myla Grace, some of the latest Knockouts signed. Remember that two weeks ago, Ash by Elegance became the #1 contender for the TNA Knockouts Championship. Also, Ash and Heather by Elegance will face The IInspiration at Slammiversary. Nygma says: Let them eat cake…

Steve Maclin didn’t waste time. No #1 contender match between Mance Warner and Jake Something, Maclin faces them both at once. It’s a very smart decision as the 3-Way setup is definitely in Maclin’s favour. Nygma says: Maclin already blew a fuse once, why not twice?

The Hardys and the Rascalz vs the Nemeths and First Class: On paper, that looks cool, although I don’t like matches with more than four people involved. In the ring, that would be nice to watch, but Nygma says: Trick Williams at ringside means brawl in sight.

The Road to Slammiversary is on, so let’s go for the penultimate stop of our 6-iMPACT ride. I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! “After The Bell.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
