TNA iMPACT Preview (8/7/25) – Eight Days Until TNA Emergence
Courtesy of TNA Wrestling

The Path to TNA Bound For Glory may be raging on, but there’s still an Emergence on the road. On August 15, a new PLE takes place live from the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore, MD. The cards may be reshuffled, but we have two iMPACT episodes before to set the stage for this.

On the August 5 episode of NXT, TNA World Champion Trick Williams confronted NXT Champion Oba Femi. Williams vowed to become a double champion when he was interrupted by Je’Von Evans, who also laid claim to the NXT Championship. Moments later, Moose made his presence felt as he returned to NXT and promised to dethrone Trick Williams in their scheduled TNA World Championship bout at Emergence.

In a shocking turn of events, Williams, Femi, Evans, and Moose would join forces to fend off an attack from DarkState. NXT General Manager Ava announced that next Tuesday, the two squads will do battle in an eight-man tag team match. Then, in two weeks on NXT, Trick Williams will battle Je’Von Evans, with the winner challenging Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at WWE Heatwave.

Earlier in the night, the Personal Concierge was sent on behalf of The Elegance Brand to deliver a warning message to the reigning TNA Knockouts World Champion and NXT Women’s Champion, Jacy Jayne. Meanwhile, Wren Sinclair said his name, and Joe Hendry appeared. Hendry was involved in a verbal altercation with Charlie Dempsey, the leader of No Quarter Catch Crew, setting the stage for a match next week.

Crossing the lines also means crossing the reviews. Emergence or Bound For Glory may be TNA PLEs, taking a look at what happens on Tuesday nights has become essential to understand what may happen on Thursday nights. After all, the two major TNA titles are still in the hands of NXT talents. What remains terribly eNYGMAtic…

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

After the last episode of NXT, Trick Williams now faces pressure from all sides, with Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans, Moose, and Darkstate. Now Williams returns to the iMPACT Zone to kick off TNA iMPACT!

The Elegance Brand is on the offensive. After The Personal Concierge appeared on WWE NXT to warn Jacy Jayne that her TNA Knockouts World Title reign is in jeopardy, the stakes are higher than ever. Ash By Elegance finally gets her one-on-one title shot, but Heather and M by Elegance are banned from ringside. Can Jacy retain, or will the TNA Knockouts World Championship become “Elegant?”

Joe Hendry and Mustafa Ali clash for the first timeMidnight. Ali blames Hendry for the rise of chaos in TNA and for “failing” to stop NXT’s Trick Williams from winning the TNA World Title. Hendry, meanwhile, is coming off an exchange with Wren Sinclair and Charlie Dempsey on NXT. Hendry must deal with Ali and the full might of Order 4.

With Emergence approaching, the anticipation continues to grow, and questions remain about what surprises may still be in store. Director of Authority Santino Marella has promised an announcement.

Jake Something is hunting gold and redemption. TNA International Champion Steve Maclin dares anyone to prove they can take his spot at the top. This is a collision of brute force with the International Championship hanging in the balance.

Last week, the world was introduced to Mara Sadè, and now we find out what she can do in singles competition. The newest TNA Knockout looks to make an iMPACT! This Thursday.

After interfering in last week’s Knockouts World Title match, Heather and M by Elegance face retribution from Léi Ying Lee and Xia Brookside, who have had enough of The Elegance Brand’s antics. Can this emerging team take down the Elegance Brand?

The Nygma’s View

Forget Slammiversary, Emergence is definitely on. And it was time, as we’re eight days away from the PLE. With five matches, including two title bouts, and two segments, we are moving forward slowly but surely.

Ash by Elegance finally has her title shot against the TNA Knockouts World Champion, Jacy Jayne. There will be no Elegance Brand by her side, but I don’t know if Fatal Influence is banned, too. Whatever, Ash by Elegance will lose for one reason: Masha Slamovich. Last week, Ash interfered in Slamovich’s title match. Nygma says: Slamovich is so not a “slap me in the cheek, I will turn the other” kind of woman.

Since his comeback, Jake Something has run after Steve Maclin and the TNA International title. Despite all the previous matches, Something has another chance to dethrone the first-ever International Champion. Nygma says: The heat is so high between them, there will be no winner.

M and Heather by Elegance can’t be by Ash’s side for her title match, but they face Masha Slamovich’s “friends,” Xia Brookside, and Lei Ying Lee. That would be sad for Ash to lose if her “Hairspray and HairBrush” friends weren’t losing too. Nygma says: Elegance eats the cake, Brookside and Lee grab the win, and Slamovich is violently happy.

Unlike the Elegance Brand, Mustafa Ali’s goons are not banned from ringside as he faces Joe Hendry, which means Hendry has zero chances to win. Nygma says: If the Secret Service Big Man is at ringside, Joe Hendry can believe me when I say, run.

Mara Sadè makes her TNA iMPACT debut, even if the former NXT’s Jakara Jackson already knows the iMPACT Zone as a former Meta-Four member. She revealed herself as a precious ally last week when she teamed up with The IInspiration. Nygma says: It will be an easy match to start. The best is yet to come.

TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams has some things to say. His Emergence’s opponent is Moose, so expect some words on him. Nygma says: If he were coming to TNA to talk about Oba Femi or Je’Von Evans, I would think WWE owns TNA…

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella has some TNA Emergence announcement to make. It will likely be some matches as two are not making a card. Some things have been in the making and could be confirmed. Nygma thinks of The Rascalz vs The Hardys for the TNA World Tag Team Championship (as the Rascalz defeated the Nemeths), and Mike Santana vs Sami Callihan.

More matches could also emerge from the episode itself. Nygma thinks of another Maclin vs Something bout, a TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship match, and Masha Slamovich trying to regain the TNA Knockouts World Championship from Jacy Jayne (no, Ash is not going to become Champion).

From the announce table, Nygma’s favourite commentators, Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt, will be there to tell us everything we need to know, as they have done perfectly for so long and will continue to do. I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! “After The Bell.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
