Jordynne Grace has explained why she is in no hurry to receive a call-up to WWE's main roster, having spent over a year in NXT. The Juggernaut is tipped to become a huge star once she eventually arrives on RAW or SmackDown.
Jordynne Grace signed with WWE in late January after her contract with TNA expired, but she had already debuted at the 2024 Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant. She then appeared again in this year's Rumble before officially joining NXT as a member of Shawn Michaels' developmental brand.
The 29-year-old has yet to taste NXT gold after Blake Monroe cost her the NXT Women's Championship at Evolution in July. The duo have since feuded, and this has kept the former TNA Knockouts Champion busy, but hasn't quashed talk of her making a quick jump to the main roster.
Grace touched on the possibility of either moving up to RAW or SmackDown by giving an honest assessment. She told Self Made:
"Everything is timing. I would hate—and I'm sure a lot of people would hate to see me go up there and nothing to happen. That's the biggest thing. You just have to trust them. I trust them to bring me up when the time is right."
There have been several NXT stars who have received call-ups to the main roster and have got lost in the shuffle, and creative has stumbled on ideas for them. This seemingly is a concern for Grace if she were to arrive on RAW or SmackDown because of the depth in talent on both shows.
Grace could be looking to stay on Tuesday nights and claim the NXT Women's Championship before she thinks about the main roster. She is currently involved in the ongoing NXT vs TNA Showdown storyline due to her connection with both companies.
When Grace signed for WWE, there was speculation that she'd be immediately debuting on the main roster rather than spending time on NXT. She had experience competing as a top star in TNA and also earned rave reviews when debuting at the Royal Rumble in February 2024.
PWInsider reported at the time that WWE president Nick Khan spoke about how WWE had "high hopes" for the Juggernaut and what she could bring the to the company. Her acquisition came at the same time as Penta, who skipped NXT and became a RAW superstar, and those two were touted as special signings.

Grace then appeared in the Royal Rumble match for a second year in a row, spending 22 minutes in the match before being eliminated by Guilia. She ticks all the boxes for WWE long term given her look, gimmick, wrestling style and the potential of must-see matches against the likes of Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley.
