The wrestling community has rallied behind former WWE NXT Women's Champion and now main-roster star Roxanne Perez after a terrifying ordeal of cyberbullying and suspected doxxing came to light on June 5, 2025.
A troubling X (formerly Twitter) post with the title "Is Roxanne Perez D3ad yet?" tweeted what was claimed to be Perez's address and initiated an eerie countdown to June 6. When a person asked the user if Perez was deceased, the account replied, "Unfortunately not." The tweet elicited serious concern and enough panic on social media that fans started making sure WWE was aware of the potential threat. Fans and fellow wrestlers called for action and concern for Perez's safety. "We stand with Perez" started trending.
“Sending endless love and prayers to Roxanne Perez,” one fan wrote. “She doesn't deserve the tragedy that's happening at all.”
WWE Raw general manager Adam Pearce addressed the Perez matter in a tweet, where he stated, "It has been reported. If you know what I'm talking about, then you know what I'm talking about. Thank you to everyone that made me aware." What his message communicated was that the issue was being taken seriously by WWE. It might have been nothing more than a threat or an irresponsible comment from a misguided fan, but no one wanted to take any chances, and safety was paramount.

This is not the first time, even this week, that reports of stalking or fans overstepping has become a problem. A stalker was arrested after troubling news surrounding a Liv Morgan fan going way too far. In this case, wishing someone were dead and doxxing—the act of maliciously sharing someone's personal information—was enough to send fans and WWE into action.
The account that posted the threats has been suspended, and Perez's fans were thrilled about the initial "victory". "We won," one user proudly stated, even though other fans remain concerned that this type of behaviour is becoming a serious problem. "There are WAY too many sick and twisted people in this world," wrote one user. "Let's hope Perez gets the protection and support she needs."
The terrifying experience should be a wake-up call to fans and for WWE, who might need to ensure that protections are in place at events where WWE superstars might be exposed.
